If you've passed the CFE exam, let us congratulate you on this outstanding achievement. Did you know that you can receive up to $500 in exam and/or prep course expense reimbursements?
The Chapter Board of Directors allocates $1500 annually for CFE scholarships disbursed to Albany Area Chapter members in amounts of up to $500 each, not to exceed the annual allocation
To be considered for this scholarship, you must be a member or affiliate of the Chapter for at least one year immediately prior to the exam, your membership must be current and you have to pass the CFE exam.
If you meet this criteria, please submit a request for reimbursement, evidence of cost and all reimbursements (business, government funding, etc.) to date, and evidence of passing the exam to the Chapter President within 30 days of receiving notification from the ACFE that you passed the exam. The application deadline is November 30 of each year. Any requests received after November 30 will be considered for reimbursement the following year.
Your application will be reviewed, verified and presented to the Board at their December meeting. At that time, the Directors will vote on the recipient(s) and amount(s) of the award(s). We will present the reimbursement check(s) to each recipient at our January event.
The Board reserves the right to review this policy and make changes as needed.
