Join your colleagues on December 6, 2018 to enjoy a delicious lunch, hear an uplifting speaker and exchange holiday greetings. The annual Holiday Luncheon is jointly sponsored by the New York Capital Chapter of the Association of Government Accountants, the Albany Chapter of the Institute of Internal Auditors, the Albany Chapter of the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners, and the Hudson Valley Chapter of ISACA.

This year, we have Rayn Boncie, Founder of Things of My Very Own speaking about the organization she founded and the successes realized over the years. Things of My Very Own, Inc. is a non-profit organization that provides crisis intervention services to children who have been impacted by extensive abuse and/or neglect. The organization also provides services to children at-risk of a Child Protective Services intervention solely due to not having items necessary for sustainability. The organization works to keep children with their non-abusive family members and out of the foster care system whenever possible.

The transition out of an abusive situation is often sudden and unexpected. Rarely is a child able to return home to retrieve belongings prior to the move. Things of My Very Own recognizes the need for children to have everything they need from the first moment on, and our goal is to provide children with Things of Their Very Own, even when they are in an unfamiliar setting.

Substitutions can be made prior to events; however, non-members will be required to pay the differential rate if replacing a member. Cancellations for most Chapter events are required at least 48 hours in advance of the day of the event. No shows will be billed for the full cost of the event. All payments or government vouchers are due on or before the day of the event.
